Online Marketplace for Remnant Material
David Szabo, Owner, Advanced Design & Programming LLC

Product: leftovermetal.com
Technology: Metal and Material

Machine shops see large amounts of remnant pieces of material going to the scrap yard. Advanced Design developed a marketplace web site for machine shops and other metal users to be able to list their remnant pieces of materials. The goal is to find a consumer who is able to use the remnant for a job or product they will manufacture. As a result, the seller makes more money than sending it to the scrap yard and the buyer receives a lower price than buying the material from a metal house. This site will not only be a marketplace for material but will incorporate tooling, machinery, RFQ, social networking/company profile pages, forums, jobs, and more.
